Having exhibited at Money Marketing Live in the past, Scottish Equitable wanted to be sure that this was the right show to deliver the right number and importantly, the right type of leads which had not previously been measured.

The exhibition was a one day show at which the organisers had anticipated attracting over 2,000 visitors. The client had hired a 36.5 square metre space in a good location, near to the catering point. The specific objective on the stand was to attract independent financial advisors who were dealing with high net worth individuals, and who were existing clients.

Although only half the expected number of visitors attended the show the client’s objectives were achieved. The stand was the subject of a great deal of curiosity and attention but, in terms of figures, although the client had invested some £70,000 in this project, 110 qualified prospects requested a future appointment or communication. The cost per lead at under £700 was regarded by the client as excellent value for money given that the anticipated extra business expected an exponential ROI.
